How ShortLine works

ShortLine turns a script into a vertical short-form video and delivers it to the user's own TikTok/YouTube account. It runs on the user's own computer, and there is no web login screen.

Step 1 Connect your account

Once, at the start, you authorize ShortLine to access your account through TikTok's official login screen (Login Kit). Once authorized, TikTok issues an authorization code, which is displayed at fatehack.com/tiktok/callback. Pass that code to ShortLine to complete the connection. ShortLine never sees your TikTok password.

Step 2 Write a script

Write what you want to say as text. There is no fixed format.

Step 3 Create a video

ShortLine puts together narration, visuals, captions, and a thumbnail, and turns them into a vertical (9:16) video file.

Step 4 Confirm before sending

Before sending, ShortLine displays the video's title, description, and the destination account name. It sends only when the user confirms and instructs it to send.

Step 5 Arrives as a TikTok draft

The video arrives in the user's TikTok inbox as a draft, via the TikTok Content Posting API (video.upload). It is never published automatically. The user opens the notification in the TikTok app, reviews and edits the content, and publishes it themselves.

Step 6 Cross-check against the sending record

ShortLine keeps a record of sent videos on the user's own computer. Where video.list permission is granted, it reads the list of videos already published on the user's account and cross-checks it against the sending record, to confirm which drafts were published and to make sure the same video is not sent twice.
